Electromagnetic Fields

You only need two ingredients to create an electromagnetic field.

-An electric charge

-Conductive metal

-Ferrous Metal added to the mix will increase the magnetism created

See here  for a grade-school level science project demonstrating this principle.

What is piezoelectricity?

Squeeze certain crystals (such as quartz and tourmaline) and you can make electricity flow through them. The reverse is usually true as well: if you pass electricity through the same crystals, they "squeeze themselves" by vibrating back and forth.

So, let's walk through the construction of the pieces.

The quartz in the base and leaves is permanently squeezed by the two-part resin creating a subtle piezoelectric pulse.

This electrical field charges up the conductive metal and creates an electromagnetic field.

I based my original construction on the research of Dr. Wilhelm Reich's concept of "Orgonite" or an "Orgone Accumulator" with the current addition of ferrous metals for increased magnetism.
